Yonatan Alem, a Digital Artist of Manhattan, Kansas, explores the artistic creative realm with the aid of digital creation tools such as, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite's After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. He creates digital animations, paintings, photos, and anything in between to create fictional narratives or to address real-life issues and grievances. He says some of his recent issues addressed are that "this modern digital age that we live in is dominated by the modern aesthetics of social media and large tech corporations. It is very much impossible to escape their trappings, for better or for worse." His digital artistry displays intricate detail and careful observation of life and the world with intuitive philosophical overtones.

Caroline Keppler, a Photographer, of St. Louis, Missouri makes large prints of women, exaggerating rude comments left under pictures in the cyber world. Her images are taken in studio with models who have also been victimized by the specific comments chosen. She says, "I have chosen these celebrities accounts because they are woman who have turned these words into fuel to stand even taller, posing as they please." This specific female essence is based upon a set of poses, lack of clothing, complexion, and figure. Her prints aim to show these women finding comfort in front of her camera lens, mocking the bully.

Brandi Mudd, a Metalsmith, of Belleville, Kansas, makes eccentric jewelry from wax sculpting and direct casting. Her rings and brooches involve abstract representations of botanical forms such as fungi and coral. She says, "The wonderment that nature emplaces in me is what I want to emplace in the viewers of my work." Her pieces give evidence to the exploration and study of the natural world through exotic forms and rich textures.

Cammie Valentine, a Photographer from Overland Park, Kansas, explores the dark and painful paths of some celebrities lives behind closed doors. Through an anonymous lens, she questions the body language and small details through recreating photographic evidence and creating imaginative images that she believes fill in the blanks of what we don't see in the media. She studies the relationships and the hardships of the victims through found newspapers, letters, and death certificates while also incorporating them into her work.

Consuelo Barnhart, a non-traditional ceramics student from Wichita, KS who converts unique slip casting techniques into useful 3-D works. She is inspired by light transformation and reflection of shadows that cast on surfaces around her work. Everyday becomes a struggle of producing these complex forms, which in the end become vibrant manifestations of her exploding energy.

Bello Bello, from Katsina, Nigeria, is an experimental artist and student whose focus is digital experimental art. He is interested in the effects of sound on both human and plant life and how touch affects the plant body and human psyche. He uses art and science as means to showcase the beautiful and necessary symbiosis of earth's most impactful inhabitants.

Multi-media digital artist Erin Ehiguese is from Topeka, KS and fuses her love for cultural history, fashion, and a need for change into her art. Emerging technology inspires her to experiment with coding and creating videos as well as graphics to examine human sensory processing and its integration with technology. Conceptually, her works invite the viewer to look at the world from a multi-faceted perspective. Aesthetically, she uses abstraction and rich vibrant color schemes to invite viewers to have their own interpretations. "There is beauty in diversity, and I want to create environments where the majority's ideologies are challenged through art and an alternative experienced reality."

Photographer, Antonio Pipkin, of Washington, D.C, makes black and white analog and digital images with the utilization of long exposure and filters. His well thought out and slowed down style is a great example of his personality and may be witnessed in his landscape works. He lives by the idea that, "People who go through life as a product of their environment, will also go through life oblivious to the beauty that may been all around them." His analog work is methodically accomplished by using standard practices and reveal that practices of the past may still to this day contend with the ever-evolving digital age.

Alexandra Dau, an artist based in Wamego, Kansas, creates oil paintings as a way to express her inner conflicts and ideas. Her abstract work uses color, shapes, and words to communicate a sense of turmoil and peace. She says, "These conflicting emotions are a part of my everyday life, painting them gives me a feeling of release and completeness." Much like the conflicting emotions they are representing, the stark contrast in colors as well as the juxtaposition of harsh and soft elements give the viewer an unfiltered glimpse into her head space.

Cheryl Henderson, is a painter from Junction City, Kansas. She uses oil paints to create colorful images of places and creatures pulled from her own mind. Influenced by fantasy as a coping mechanism for stress and anxiety, her paintings delve into a realm of calming dreamlike oddity. She says, "There are thoughts and ideas that I cannot express verbally, and there is something incredible about being able to see the unseen. I use it to build worlds. There are no limits here." From a sprawling mass of eyeballs to a desolate city, her paintings explore the wonder of what the human mind can produce.

Digital artist, Jasmine Mitchell, of Kansas City, KS, makes interactive artworks. She makes these artworks in order to tell their story and to get people to see a different point of view. She says, "Many stories can be told simply through movement." Her interactive artwork is a reflection of that movement as it tries to get the viewers to see a different point of view.

An architectural photographer from Westwood, Kansas, Nathan Ross focuses his work on exploring the relationships of light and shadow and how they affect the way we see architecture. The bulk of the work has been made for the commercial world and is therefore shown in a clean and professional manner. This current body of work explores the dynamic movement of time around the stagnant nature of architecture itself.

Jessie Burnes of Westwood, Kansas makes large-scale abstract oil paintings that depict floral subject matter. Her heavy application of paint onto the surface of the canvas provides texture, rhythm, and culmination of mark to create immersive floral forms. She says, "My work is a full body experience, the large scale helps me physically push through vulnerabilities and insecurities while providing an all-consuming experience." Her paintings reveal a visceral and lush exploration of identity.

As a senior Digital Media student originally from the Kansas City area, Kellie Goss chooses to focus on color theory and imagery reminiscent of twentieth century artists. Primarily working in animation and mixed media, there is a heavy-handed color placement throughout all of her work. "The colors, composition, and potential for viewer interaction with a work can be as valuable as the meaning behind the work itself." Her work uses color and universally familiar animated imagery to create nostalgia and emotion in each viewer, occasionally with the opportunity to interact directly with the work.

Ceramicist, Cassidy Hullman, from Pratt, Kansas, creates collections of ceramic pottery. These collections are to show the change we all undergo in our lives. He says, "Moments of stress, weight, and gravity generated by connections between each vessel describe the overwhelming pressure being forced us in daily life." The collections are caged to represent how society can trap us in the social norms we may not want to fit in.

Austin Liming, an artist from St. George, KS, works with a variety of printmaking techniques to illustrate and inform oft forgotten or overlooked topics. Drawing deeply from his past experiences, Austin's colorful, heavily layered self-portraits portray the multitudinous faces of obsessive anxiety and mental health. "It is my hope not only to grant viewers new and interesting ways to experience art in galleries, but also to encourage greater interaction with the subjects and themes at the core of the works and create longer lasting impressions and conversations."

Sebastian Nelson, a drawing student from Junction City, Kansas, makes detailed drawings with ink wash, watercolor, pastel, and pen. His recent works have focused on the humanity inherently found in robots and Artificial Intelligence and society's understanding of their own inherent humanity. He says "Mankind follows a pattern of making things more like ourselves, even as far back as domesticating wild dogs. A.I. is no exception." His works tell a vivid story of these moments of humanity in much the same manner as a movie would, carefully placing the audience to see and understand each narrative moment.

Norbert Jameison Irsik, a Printmaker from Ingalls, KS, creates highly detailed prints using classic intaglio printmaking techniques on copper plates. His work focuses on digital manipulation of wildlife, humans, and nature, finding detail to enhance and sometimes invoke entirely new creations. "Every print goes through a rigorous digital enhancement and design process. Extracting detail or even fabricating a new texture or surface, all while finding a compositional awareness that is saturated in my own personal design language." His compositions and subject matter are heavily influenced by his original studies in graphic design and image manipulation in the early 2000's.

Allison Olsen, a painter from Manhattan, Kansas, makes abstract paintings that create impressions of space, isolation, self-reflection, and self-discovery. Her heavily layered canvases involve imagery borrowed from nature and are inspired by forest floors and canopies. She says, "My hope with this body of paintings is to promote a sense of being in an environment that is so much larger than life that it is slightly overwhelming and forces my viewers to learn how to adapt to these senses."

Madison Wedekind, DX Media, Wichita, KS, creates digital drawings and animations. She has based her concept and imagery around the study of apologetics. Apologetics is reasoned arguments or writings in justification of a theory or religious doctrine. "I thoroughly enjoy studying the comparison of what the bible declares to the knowledge we currently obtain today." The content of her work is presented through the animations displayed, as well as through the book of knowledge presented on a pedestal.

Photographer Sydney Sneed from Kansas City creates colorful portraits and still life images. Her work brings the visuals and ideas of Pop Art to digital photography. "There is a sense of simplicity in the subjects of my work, but I enjoy adding multiple bright colors to create a more exciting feel." Sydney's work evokes a sense of confusion and humor through the expressions and props in her images.

Yawen Zheng is a senior in DX Media within the College of Arts and Sciences at Kansas State University, exploring the interaction between Arduino and Max. Inspired by Chinese culture, she integrates elements of Chinese style into her works. Plates drawn into Chinese maps are used as controls to switch between videos about provinces in her work. It makes people more interested in understanding and learning about China.

David Hammons, a Metalsmith originally from Houston, Texas, fashions the macabre into beauty with his creations. His finely crafted metal work, explores the darker sides of humanity, as well as self. He says, "I want the beauty of my pieces to impart a sense of fascination that I have in the subject matter to the viewers." Whether it is a jeweled torture device or a meticulously crafted portrayal of introspection, there is a visceral experience from each piece.

Painter Lauren Sanders from Wichita, KS does installation artwork using found objects to create an environment around her figurative paintings. She uses her life as the inspiration for the paintings. The installation aspect of her work brings the viewer into these experiences. She says, "I started keeping things in my studio to inspire the paintings. As the paintings developed, these objects became a part of the paintings."

Bowen Xu, is a drawing artist who grew up in China and spent his adulthood in Kansas. Because of his cultural background, he always tells a story with his drawing with skeptical undertones. In this show, he presents his work in traditional media such as ink wash and pastel, aiming to capture the topic of "Love." He says that "realizing that humans are the most important thing on the earth, spend your time loving them before they go away, and then there is nothing on earth that can scare you." With realistic figures mixed with abstract color, he aims to brings out a dreamy feeling to express his theme.
