High school students, preparing to enter their junior or senior year, are invited participate in a new summer program designed to introduce students to university-level art making and campus life. The K-State Creative Arts Training Studio is a 5-day/5-night residency where participants will be able to create, cultivate, and experience a sampling of life as a member of the K-State Art Department.


Create

  • Work with our accomplished Art faculty and graduate students
  • Create works of art in our professional level studios

Cultivate

  • Expand your knowledge in Photography & Ceramics.
  • Learn gallery curation and installation methods, with a chance to install the work from the week in our Chapman Gallery.

Experience

  • Living and dining in campus residence halls
  • Recreational activities to explore a sample of Manhattan living
  • University experience with a small cohort of creative-minded peers

We have currently filled our program with an amazingly fast response this year! All Scholarships have been allocated.

$499 - Participant fee covers all art materials, room/board, and campus dining.
