Portfolio Review Information for BFA Students
During the Spring semester you enroll in the last required core classes listed below you should also enroll in ART 205 to apply for the BFA Portfolio Review.
All students who have received transfer credit for one or more of the Core Foundation courses will need to supply work for those courses during your Portfolio Review. (Keep your work!)
These Core Foundation courses must be taken prior to the required Portfolio Review for the BFA degree.
- ART 105 - Art Careers Seminar Credits: 1
- ART 174 - A&D: Mixed Media Process & Exploration Credits: 3
- ART 180 - A&D: Color, Light, & Perception Lab Credits: 3
- ART 194 - A&D: Community & Environmental Engagement Lab Credits: 3
- ART 200 - A&D: Visual Representation and Fabrication Credits: 3
- ART 205 - Portfolio Review Credits: 0
A selection of work from all your Core Foundation classes will be used to assess your readiness to continue in the BFA major. The Portfolio Review is the determining factor in your being accepted into the BFA degree program.
You may apply for more than one area when you go through the Review. If you are not accepted the first time, you are allowed to apply twice to any given area.
