The Art Department has restructured course requirements for the Art Minor. The information listed below will initiate the semester of Fall 2024. If a student enrolled in the Art Minor prior to the Fall 2024 semester, their requirements will follow the Fall 2023- Spring 2024 Art Minor Requirements. Students should review their DARS report if they are unsure which requirements they should follow.
Art Minor Requirements
3 Credits- Foundation Course (choose 1 course)
ART 180 A&D: Color, Light, and Perception Lab
ART 190 Drawing I
ART 194 A&D: Community & Environmental Engagement Lab
ART 200 A&D: Visual Representation and Fabrication Lab
ENVD 201 Environmental Studio I
ID 225 Interior Design Studio I
3 Credits- Art History (choose 1 course)
ART 195 Survey of Art History I
ART 196 Survey of Art History II
6 Credits- Art Electives (choose 2 courses)
Any ART course. Choose courses that are prerequisites for upper level courses you want to take.
