There are a limited number of GTA Assistantships available program wide. Assistantships will be awarded on a competitive basis, based on the Department of Art's available funding. GTAs are assigned to teach courses related to their areas, including: foundation design, drawing, ceramics, graphic design, digital/experimental media, metalsmithing & jewelry, painting, photography, and printmaking. Students are also encouraged to explore other financial aid opportunities through the Office of Student Financial Assistance.

International students must meet entrance language requirements. Additionally, all applicants who are not U.S. Citizens and not native English speakers, must pass an approved test of spoken English before a GTA appointment can be made.
