Alan Jones produced this sculpture while he was a student at K-state. His challenge was to create a piece for the fascia of the English and Counseling Services Building. Jones used slabs of uncut and unfired bricks and then carved out his motif before firing. Its placement decorates the south entrance of the English and Counseling Services Building.
