William E. Wallace Biography:

William E. Wallace received his PhD in Art History from Columbia University in New York in 1983, and that same year joined the faculty of Washington University in St. Louis. He currently holds The Barbara Murphy Bryant Distinguished Professor of Art History Chair in the Department of Art History & Archaeology (since 2003). Professor Wallace is an internationally recognized authority on the great Renaissance artist, architect and poet Michelangelo Buonarroti (more popularly known as simply Michelangelo).
